As a stay-at-home mom, I’ve always loved experimenting with different ingredients and coming up with my own signature dishes. Over the years, I’d like to think that I’ve really sharpened my skills and am now confident when it comes to working with just about any ingredient imaginable. In fact, I’ve even begun recording my most successful recipes and family-favorites in the hopes of someday creating my own cookbook.
I wasn’t always such a great cook, however. When I first got married and had children, I was a busy businesswoman, often working upwards of 60 hours a week. I never had time to cook, and my idea of dinner was whatever drive-thru meal I could find that was still open after a long evening in the office. Once I had children, however, my priorities changed. My husband and I ultimately decided that it would be best if I stayed at home with the children. This was the best decision I ever made.
With having children, though, came the realization that I needed to learn how to cook nutritious meals for my family. While my husband enjoys cooking and is actually quite good at it, he usually works until at least 6PM every night, and I know the last thing he wants to do when he gets home from a hard day of work is cooking.
Therefore, I began learning the basics of cooking. It took me a lot of practice, trial, and error; however, I’m now proud to say I love cooking and my family loves the meals I come up with. I created this site to share my favorite breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes with those who have been in my shoes–struggling to provide nutritious meals for their families.
